Scarlet Tears

I lie here,
withering in my pool of torment.
I writhe in pain,
as hate scorches my soul.
I lament over the pain I've inflicted,
but I lack the slef control to stop.
To alleviate my scars on the inside,
I cause scars on the outside.
I watch as the blood trickles out,
counting down my time.
I'm too tired to fight it,
and no longer do I care.
As the pool grows larger,
numbness starts to embrace me.
Scarlet tears fall...
